Banshokou

Banshokou

Banshokou is named after a classic book written in the Edo Period about the cultivation of sweet potatoes. This traditional Shochu is made using the Edo Period Shochu making method. Sweet potato skin is peeled and charcoaled bamboo leaf is used in the fermentation process to purify the aroma. Only the first half of the distillation process is used so that Banshokou retains its refined, clean, and elegant flavor.
